What is AI search optimization?
AI search optimization, also called AEO or GEO, is the process of preparing your site to be the source AI engines cite. Instead of competing for first place in Google, the goal is that when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews a question in your field, the answer names your business and links to it.
Search moved, and the clicks stopped arriving
Someone who asks an AI engine gets one answer, not ten options. If your business is not inside that answer, it is not in the conversation. This does not replace Google. It adds a layer where the recommendation has already been made for the customer.
What has been measured so far
of Google AI Overview citations come from pages carrying code that tells the engine what is on them
Data World
more citations for content served in tables and lists instead of paragraphs
Princeton GEO study
of AI engine citations come from third party sources rather than your own site
Ahrefs
more citations for content updated within the last 30 days

What you get
Four things, and all of them are measured.
Find out what AI says about your business today
We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google the exact questions your customers ask before they buy. You see who appears instead of you, what is said about them, and why they were picked.
We put your business inside the answer
We change your site so AI engines understand what you do, who you do it for, and why you are worth recommending. That is the technical work, and you never have to touch it or understand it.
We get you talked about where AI looks
Most of what an AI engine quotes comes from other sites, not from yours. We build your presence in the places it actually reads.
You know every month whether it worked
One plain report: which questions you appear on, in which engines, and what changed since last month. No jargon and no charts nobody can read.
How it works
Find out where you stand
We measure the position today in each engine separately, and show you who appears in your place and what is said about them.
Fix the site
We do the work that gets engines to understand what you do and trust you enough to recommend you. You never have to touch any of it.
Answer the questions people actually ask
We rewrite what needs rewriting, so your site answers exactly what customers ask, in their words rather than yours.
Measure every month
A report showing whether visibility rose, in which engines, and on which questions.
Cited within 90 days, or you do not pay.
We measure your visibility on day one and keep the result. If after 90 days no AI engine cites you anywhere it did not cite you before, we refund the full three months. You do not have to take our word on the measurement: our check is free and public, and you can run it yourself whenever you like.
- We will not promise you first place, because an AI answer has no first place. We promise you will be in it.
- We will not take an ordinary SEO retainer and call it GEO. We will tell you what you are already paying someone else to do.
- If we can see we are not getting you there, we will say so before you pay for another month.

How do I get ChatGPT to recommend my business?
Three things have to be true together. The site has to be readable by the engine, meaning server rendered, carrying schema, with paragraphs that stand on their own. External sources have to mention you, because that is where most citations originate. And the content has to answer the exact questions customers ask, in their own wording. Without the third part, the engine never connects you to the question.
How do I know what ChatGPT says about my business today?
You can ask it directly, but the answer varies from run to run, so a single check tells you very little. Our free visibility check runs those questions across several engines and returns a scored breakdown, which is a far more stable picture than guessing.
What exactly do you do to the site?
Three kinds of work. Structured data that tells an engine what each part of your site means, a rewrite of opening paragraphs so each one fully answers a single question, and an llms.txt file that tells AI engines what your site contains. If none of those terms mean anything to you, that is fine. Not having to deal with them is what you are paying us for.
What is the difference between AEO, GEO and SEO?
SEO aims at a high position on a results page so that someone clicks through to you. AEO aims inside the answer itself, so that you are the source the engine cites. GEO is the same idea applied specifically to engines that generate an answer, such as ChatGPT and Perplexity. In practice the three terms describe the same work from different angles, and most of what you need to do overlaps.
How long before results show?
Technical fixes take effect within days, but AI engines refresh on their own schedule. Visibility change usually becomes measurable after six to eight weeks and settles after three to four months. Anyone promising you two weeks is not measuring.
Does this replace Google SEO?
No, and assuming otherwise is a common mistake. Strong organic ranking in Google is one of the strongest drivers of appearing in AI answers, because these engines lean on search engines to find sources. AI search optimization builds on existing SEO rather than replacing it.
Do I really need an llms.txt file?
Yes, though not for the reason you are usually sold. Google has said it does not use the file, and in the measurements we have seen fewer than one percent of AI crawlers read it, so it is not a ranking factor. It earns its place because it is very cheap to produce, it gives you control over how engines that do read it describe your business, and it is ready if that changes.
